Funds Management

  • For fifty-three years, the United Methodist churches, agencies, and individuals of our region have turned to the Foundation for the responsible management of long term funds in support of ministry. With the guidance of experienced asset managers and investment advisers and the oversight of the Foundation's Board of Directors, the Foundation has been able to provide consistent and competitive returns to our account holders, along with the added benefit of personalized service from our knowledgeable staff.
  •
  • The Foundation specializes in the management of charitable endowments and special use funds. For individuals in search of a creative way to support the ministries they love we offer the option of donor restricted funds, donor-advised funds (DAF), and Charitable Remainder Trusts. All accounts own shares in one of the Foundation's diversified investment vehicles.

Funds

  • Investment vehicles offered by the Foundation allow the pooling of resources to accomplish the diversification and investment economies-of-scale that would be difficult for most local churches and agencies to achieve alone. We seek to provide a competitive rate of return while reducing risk through exposure to a variety of asset classes. At all times we pursue a policy of socially responsible investing in line with the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church.

When opening an account with the Foundation your church or organization will select one of three funds:

The Core Balanced Fund

  • Invests in domestic and international stocks and bonds, with a target mix of 60% equities and 40% fixed income and may invest in alternative strategies as permitted within the Foundation’s Investment Policy. The Core Balanced Fund follows a Total Return Approach and the Board of Directors of the Foundation annually establishes a percentage payout of the value of the fund for the following calendar year. The account holder may choose to take a disbursement of this income or reinvest it back into the account. The growth goal for this fund is CPI plus 4%.
  •

The Income and Growth Fund

  • Invests in domestic and international stocks and bonds, with a target mix of 20% equities and 80% fixed income and may invest in alternative strategies as permitted within the Foundation’s Investment Policy. The growth goal for this fund is CPI plus 2%.

The Aggressive Fund

  • Invests in domestic and international stocks and bonds, with a target mix of 80% equities and 20% fixed income and may invest in alternative strategies as permitted within the Foundation’s Investment Policy. The growth goal for this fund is CPI plus 5.5%.
